1. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETITORS & PARTICIPANTS
1.1 The competition is open to all singers who have graduated or still are being students of a higher/secondary musical educational institution one. Participants must not be younger 19 and older 32, inclusive at the time of opening (11 April 2019). Audio/video pre-selection is not possible. In the case of absence of the special education or being non-student of a higher/secondary musical educational institution, the Organizing committee decides on admission to the competition on the basis of a video recording of the performance of the expanded Aria from the Russian or Western European composer’s repertoire.
1.2 Competitive tests consist of two qualifying parts and one final part.All auditions are held in public. The order of a performance is defined by draw and remains until the end of the competition.
1.3. For participation in the competition it is necessary to send the package of documents in accordance with the list published below via e-mail info.glinkacompetition2019@gmail.com:
a. The scanned passport copy (for foreign citizens – the passport copy intended for trips abroad in case existence of the special passport for foreign trips is provided by the legislation of the country of accommodation);
b. The scanned birth certificate copy;
c. The scanned copy of the diploma about the graduation of the musical educational institution or the reference from the educational institution (for students);
d. Application questionnaire of the participant;
e. Creative curriculum vitae (sample);
f. The full program of a performance (the composer, the name of the work, the first words of the aria or romance in original language);
g. The art photo (a portrait in life), definition is not less 300dpi.
The documents submission is implemented from February, 15th to March, 30th, 2019 (inclusive) only via e-mail.
The documents submission is considered to be finished on March, 30th, 2019 at 23:59 p.m. Moscow time. Please, make sure the applications are received (the function of automatic out-of-office replies works on e-mail, it is the confirmation of the applications acceptance and your official invitation to the competition).
1.4 Applications without full package or received after the deadlinewill not be accepted.
1.5 In accordance with decision of the Organizing committee the application fee is CANCELLED.
1.6. Accommodation in Kazan: participants of the First round live at their own expense.
Participants who passed the second and third rounds live at the expense of the competition. More information about Kazan hotels can be found here.
2. COMPETITION PROCEDURE
2.1 The Organizing committee provides concertmasters for two rehearsals and performance in the I and II rounds on a free-of-charge basis upon preliminary application (indicate in the Application questionnaire)
2.2 Laureates and winners of the competition are required to perform in one or two gala concerts at no extra charge.
2.3 According to the decision of the Organizing Comeetee, laureats of the first prizes of the International Glinka vocal contest automatically become participants of the International Tshaikovsky contest in June, 2019.
2.4 The rights to make use of audio/video performances of participants and winners during the competition and gala concerts belong to the Organizing committee.

– The performance record
– The performance presentation
– Distribution of performance records by sale or other alienation of its original or copies presenting a copy of such record on any material carrier

1. Aria from an opera, cantata or oratorio by one the following composers: J.S. Bach, H. Purcell, G. Handel, C. Gluck, J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart;
2. Operatic area by Russian or foreign composers of the 19-20th centuries.

1. Song by M. I. Glinka at the choice of the participant;
2. Operatic aria by the Western European composers;

a) Each work may be performed only in one round.
b) All works are performed in the original language.
c) The order of performance of works is determined by the participant himself.
d) Replacement of works claimed by the participant in the program is not allowed.
e) In case of inclusion in the program of the III round of works, the score and orchestral voices of which are absent in the music library of the State Symphony orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, the participant provides musical material (score and orchestral voices) at registration. If this condition is not met, the participant is not allowed to register.
The Organizing committee establishes the following prizes:
— Two I prizes 300000 roubles for each and the title of a laureate;
— Two II prizes 200000 roubles for each and the title of a laureate;
— Two III prizes 150000 roubles for each and the title of a laureate;
— Two IV prizes 125000 roubles for each and the title of a laureate.
Two participants of the final round not awarded the title of laureate shall be assigned the title of diploma winner and awarded an incentive award in the amount of 100 000 rubles each.
Special prize named after Irina Arkhipova 300 000 roubles.
Two prizes to the best concertmasters in the amount of 75 000 roubles.
In accordance with the resolution of the government of the Russian Federation, the International Glinka competition prize is included to the List of international, foreign and Russian awards for outstanding achievements in science and technology, education, culture, literature and art, amounts received by taxpayers are not subject to taxation.
Depending on the results achieved by participants and within the established number of awards, the jury has the right to:
— award not all the prizes;
— share the prizes between participants.
